23 horses were evacuated from the Burnett Road area in west Cocoa by Brevard Animal Services & Enforcement. The attached photo shows BASE officer Sgt. Chris Robinson leading one of the horses to a horse trailer. The horses were taken to Wickham Park in Melbourne, where there is now a total of 42 horses sheltered. Although horses will go to higher ground when it is available, there was no dry area in their pasture/paddock.
